Minneapolis Public Schools Falls Victim to Theft by Trickery

This blog thread posted by the Irving Inquisition uses some explicit language, as well as depicting some aspects of life in North Minneapolis that some readers may find objectionable.  Reader discretion is advised.

1st Up: Donald W.R. Allen II Commits Trickery… Again

The decision made at the Minneapolis Public Schools to award Donald W.R. Allen II the contract to sell and spin on behalf of MPS, is a disaster waiting to happen.  Communications Director, Stan Alleyne, called the shot.  The question in my mind is; would he have made the same decision if he knew about DWRA2’s background?

An entity which now finds itself operating under the microscope.

The story about how things went down at MPS was published by Sheila Regan at the Twin Cities Daily Planet.  Good work Sheila!  Hearing of this, DWRA2’s knee jerk response was to threaten to sue.  Ed Kohler from The Deets, also wrote a brilliant contributing article to shed additional light on the subject of Don Allen’s dirt covered background.  Again, DWRA2’s response is to comment anonymously himself or via proxy; attempting to refute the corrections made about his blatant lies.

Previously, Irving Inquisition has posted documentation on DWRA2’s criminal activities.  I can’t believe that Stan Alleyne of MPS was not aware of Don Allen’s crooked past.  In case anybody is feeling like letting old dogs lie… literally; here’s some more public data on convicted criminal Donald W.R. Allen II.

In 1999, Donald W.R. Allen II was convicted of theft by trickery at Southdale mall.
In 2006, Donald W.R. Allen II was convicted of theft at Ridgedale mall.

The point I’m making with all of this is DWRA2 is a conman, sticky-fingered, thieving crook.  He’s as common as they come.

Jerk Du Jour: Stan Alleyne of Minneapolis Public Schools

Theft by trickery victim, Stan Alleyne

As a managing director of a public institution, you carry an enormous amount of responsibility.  Since you are Communications Director of MPS, an educational entity, insuring your vendors possess the skill-sets required is very important.  Skill-sets like, effective writing and communication; your current choice possesses neither.  DWRA2 writes at a junior high level.  I don't think you want to send the message of "See, the childrens do learn!" in your advertising campaign.

Another thing you need to do is proper diligence when selecting a vendor for advertising.  Selecting a known liar, thief, internet threat artist / stalker, and convicted criminal; who regularly rails on the residents of the communities you do business in is most certainly NOT an example of performing your duties effectively.

Stan, you’ve been conned by a not so smooth criminal.  But you do have a chance to make things right.  Terminate your agreement with Donald W.R. Allen II immediately and find another media vendor to do your advertising activities with.

Since you were still naïve enough to get played the way you did and get us into this mess, you are still today’s Jerk Du Jour.

Stan Alleyne… Today’s Jerk Du Jour!

A great contribution to the documentation about Don Allen. How on earth did the Minneapolis School System get conned but this guy?!

But check out this link about an even bigger payoff, allegedly to Al Flowers.

Did you post the correct comment image? It seems that the comment in question is defending you, Eric, even if it puts things in a funny way. It says that you DID NOT take the photo in question (though Don Allen says you did) and the true author of the photo should come forward so the "piss stained lies of Don Allen (that you staged or paid for the photo) will be exposed.

It's basically saying if the person who took the photo comes forth, then Don Allen will be proven a liar through incontrovertible evidence.

Oh, and by the way...

If this is the kind of judgment that runs the Minneapolis public school system, then the "message" is surely: get your kids out any way you can.

This decision to pay Don Allen's entity $15,000 must be reviewed at higher levels, it must be vetoed, it must be HALTED.

Wow, I'm Impressed. You actually went to the Government Center to get printouts.

@ Anon 12:06,

I disagree. It's a trap. Besides, there's a cornucopia of incontrovertible evidence already that Don Allen is a liar.

@ Anon 12:06,

I changed my mind and removed the screen shot of the comment from this posting. I suppose one could argue that its not clear one way or another.

I think you are misunderstanding these documents and it has understandably led you to believe that these crimes took place at Southdale Mall and Ridgedale Mall.

However, I believe each document is actually referencing the court house location of each of the different proceedings. Southdale court (also called service center) and Ridgedale court (service center).

Just thought I'd throw that in there for the sake of clarification. We don't need another Poopgate.

(p.s. I like the outhouse on the Captain's helmet. lolz)

@ NoMi Passenger,

Good point, I hadn't thought of that. I'm still pretty new to this legal stuff.

You wouldn't happen to know what the back story is on any of these crimes DWRA2 was convicted of, would you?

The question in my mind is whether Mr. Alleyne was a victim of "theft by trickery," or an extortion racket. Several months ago, Don Allen advertised his "web marketing" workshops on the Minneapolis Issues list. I was concerned to see that they were being hosted by the UROC, so I called UROC to find out if they were aware that Don Allen was the current subject of an FBI Ponzi scheme investigation (I don't believe that his various convictions had been published at that time), and that the "marketing" workshop looked very much like a gimmick to get people involved in a pyramid scheme. I talked to several people who stonewalled me, but when I spoke to someone higher up the ladder, I was essentially told that, yes, UROC was "well aware" of Don Allen's unsavory activities, but that they felt that they could best silence him by giving him a piece of the pie.

To me, this is just criminal, because the real "victims" are the unsuspecting people who sign up for a web marketing workshop with the University of Minnesota brand name attached to it, and instead get hooked into a sleazy con game.

I think it's possible that Stan Alleyne might well have been directed to follow the same strategy by the higher ups at MPS, but who knows.

If it is the case that he was actually "impressed" by any presentation that Don Allen might have given, then either Stan Alleyne is in the wrong line of work, or marketing as a profession has really sunk to a low point.

FYI, for anyone who may not know, UROC is the University of Minnesota Urban Research and Outreach/Engagement Center.

@I.I., about your last question, I have some ideas and have heard some things, but due to the litigious nature and without proof, I'd rather not say.

I tried to post this comment on the NoMi Passenger blog, but can't tell if it went through or not. If it's a repeat of something posted on another blog, apologies to both you and NoMi Passenger...

Ahem...

So the other day, after Don Allen was lambasted by FIVE BLOGS and also Twin Cities Daily Planet all in the same day--which has to be some kind of freaking record, but this is what happens when you commit "theft by trickery" of public school monies--Don Allen got on his anonymous hate blog (everybody knows it's him writing JHG all or in part) and wrote something like, "Oh, keep up the good work, Don, you must be doing something right if you've got so many people angry" and giving himself accolades.

Amazing. Don Allen patting Don Allen on the back, acting like it's not Don Allen.

Better be careful if you're an investor looking at some kind of business proposition with Don Allen. Anybody who says it's a good idea to do business with Don Allen is likely to really be...

DON ALLEN.

Yes, just so the search engines will know: That would be Donald WR Allen, of IBNN. The one who tries to do business with the Chinese and writes hateful stuff all the time about the Minneapolis Urban League. Don Allen whose blog was recently called "the equivalent of black on black crime" by Chris Stewart, a former board director of the Minneapolis public school system.

Anon 11:30-

You need to disclose who you spoke with if your post is legit.

The "a piece of the pie" comment not only is disturbing for it's exposure to those who attend this seminar but discloses the ingrained philosophy of the University system who operate with a good share of public financing.

This is exactly the mindset that UROC needs to address, not perpetuate.

Do the right thing and come forward!

Hey, Anon 9:47: You need to disclose who you are, if your post is legit. Do the right thing and come forward!

BTW, "it's" is a contraction of "it is." The possessive of "it" is "its."

Arrrgh,
The captain be seeing, what me mates be saying, when the "conservative" mates at St. Paul, be talking about wasteful gold, and the "progressive" mates be pleading poverty, the truth be laid bare in the blogs like fresh gutted fish. It appears that wasteful spending becoming part of the progressive creed, they be not paying attention to how the pieces of 8 be spent, aye, only how many more they be getting, they be pirates of a sort! Reminds the captain of the Aztec gold. I only be seeing what people be saying.
